Nintendo DS Lite

What I like most about my Nintendo DS Lite is that I can still play games that are used on the Game Boy Advance. The NDS Lite is also more compact than the first DS that was released previously that is quite bulky and bigger. Also, this portable console comes in a lot of cool colors like white, black, dark blue, light blue, pink, red and others that I might have not seen yet. Plus, some NDS Lite packages come with games and skins as add-on accessories such as the Zelda edition.

When it comes to durability, Nintendo has been recorded as the most durable game console since the Game Cube was created. The Nintendo DS Lite was also seen being tested on You Tube for its durability, compared to another portable console such as the PSP.

Nintendo DS Lite has a wider range of games but with not-so-high quality graphics when compared to the PSP. It has a long battery life and surround sound that makes playing even more entertaining, leaving you hours of enjoyment.

Evil Under the Sun by Agatha Christie (TV Series)

While world renowned Belgian detective Hercule Poirot is on a “healthy vacation,” at an island resort, a murder has been committed and everyone on the island remains a suspect while Poirot interrogates all who might have a motive for Arlena Marshall’s murder. She is a beautiful actress who had history of turning down a stage show, a book and is known for having an open affair with Patrick Redfern, who was spending a honeymoon with his wife Christine in the same hotel-resort at the time of the murder.

Based on the Hercule Poirot series of books by Agatha Christie, Evil under the Sun has an interesting plot that involves not only one but 2 cases solved by the famous Belgian detective. There are however, some parts that are a little boring but the story as a whole was great and surprising as you won’t expect to have another case (which is not murder) that is discovered and solved as well by those “little grey cells” Poirot has been bragging about.

Twilight

This is a romantic chick flick that you’ll definitely watch over and over again. The story starts when Edward (played by Robert Pattinson), the immortal and handsome vampire met Belle (played by Kristen Stewart), the beautiful new comer in the same school they are attending to. The whole movie goes around them and the people that are related to them including their friends and enemies.

This movie is actually based on the #1 New York Times’ Best Selling novel written by Stephenie Meyer.

Health Benefits of Yoga

Yoga is first introduced by Hindu people as Pranayama, a kind of breathing exercise that focuses on proper breathing and the correct use of the lungs, giving health benefits to the body. However, there are still other benefits that Yoga gives and here are some of them.

By stretching out your tight body in the proper manner, Yoga helps improve physical flexibility, leading to greater range of motion for your joints and muscles. It not only stretches them, but also gives a better shape too with proper body alignment, making you healthier and lowering your risk to most types of body pain.

Aside from stretching, Yoga also improves the mind with meditation techniques combined with proper breathing, helping you relieve stress from a day’s work.

While the main goal for Yoga is to relieve stress, this is also the perfect time to forget the past but face the future with a clean and refreshed mind.

Transformers 2 - Revenge of the Fallen

By watching both Transformers 1 and 2, I can see the big difference between two movies: As always, the first movie is better than the second if you are after the story. On the other hand, the second movie has better visual effects than the first. In general, both movies are good, having different themes (Transformers 2 has more robots than Transformers 1). I just find it a little odd that most of the actors that were on Transformers 1 were also in part 2 but with little roles that are actually not so important in the film. What I liked about Revenge of the Fallen are the twin robots Mudflap and Skids. They’re so funny and entertaining but also have a unique role in the movie. As for the only chick starring, (Megan Fox) she’s still foxy as in Transformers 1 :)

Shinjuku Incident

So far, this is the only Jackie Chan movie I’ve seen that has no Kung Fu stunts and comic feats. I never thought that Jackie Chan was also a great drama actor until I watched Shinjuku Incident.

The story evolves around the world of Taiwanese and Japanese mafia, where Steelhead (Jackie Chan) tries to live with in a foreign where he and his companions were transported illegally as underground workers. As the movie goes on towards the end, you’ll never know if Steelhead will survive with many of his companions are almost dead in between gang fights. But the movie as a whole is very entertaining you’ll never notice the length of the movie which lasted more than 2 hours. By the way, this movie is also produced by Jackie Chan.

Energy Saving Tips to Fight Global Warming

Here are some tips that any of us can do to save the earth from heating up.

1. Use fluorescent lights. A compact fluorescent light with 16 watts can produce the same light as a 60-watt incandescent or yellow bulb and consumes less energy. Always turn off lights when not in use. Aside from saving more energy by switching off unused lights, it will also save your house from burning.

2. As much as light consumes energy, electrical appliances use more heat so it is always recommended to turn your TV, Radio or Computers off when not in use. For TV sets, try turning it off from the main switch instead of from the remote control. Turning your TV off from the remote will still leave you TV on through the main switch, thus, it still uses very little electricity, which will also count on your monthly bill. This can be applicable to other electronic and household appliances too. If possible, try to unplug.

3. If you own a vehicle, try conserving on gas by walking to your nearest grocery store or when going to church. This way, you can also take this opportunity to bond with your family while walking your way to the supermarket or grocery store. Smokes that are emitted from cars plays a great role in contributing to the heating up of air. If you don’t like to walk, use a bicycle instead. Just like walking, it will also help regulate your heart and keep you physically fit.

Well, these are just a few tips but I’m sure if you try these tips, it would not just lower your monthly electric bills, it would also keep you healthy.

Factors That Cause Global Warming

This may be ignored by some people, but changes in our climate should not be taken for granted especially when we notice the rise of the temperature which makes the environment hotter each day.

Global warming is not an issue that we should laugh about since our children will be the ones who will suffer greatly in the near future. The increase in human population, deforestation and technological inventions can trigger the bad effects of Global Warming and we should start doing something about it before it’s too late.

The rapid growth of human population makes it one of the triggers of global warming because of the increase in demand for food and water supply and shelter, resulting in shortage of natural resources like animal and plant production, lack of potable water supply and retired growth of trees used for production of wood to make houses.

The chain goes on as deforestation steps in. The more trees are cut so more animals lose their shelter and lack for food supply, more animals die. Tropical countries that are mostly located in Asia and the Pacific are largely affected by this outcome. Global warming enters when the number of trees diminish that are supposed to absorb the sun’s harmful rays that are bad not only for humans and animals but also the whole environment in general.

While advanced technology has its benefits, this is one factor that could trigger global warming in the environment. The constant use of cellular phones and other machines that require the use of gas and ultraviolet rays greatly contribute in global warming.

The Dark Knight

This Batman movie series is the best of all Batman movies shown. Christian Bale is the best Batman ever. Heath Ledger is the best actor who portrayed Joker in a Batman movie. Nothing beats this movie and Batman Begins. This is far better than the comic versions of Batman. I can’t say anything negative about this movie. I just hope there will be more Batman movies like this that will be shown in the future. I will never get tired watching this movie over and over again.
